Only a few weeks ago, I got a series of emails send to Singapore personal
trainers and Singapore fitness bootcamp owners like myself regarding power
plate training or vibration plate training courses.

I am always trying to improve my knowledge so that I can help clients
better and get them results more quickly...but we also should be picky
about the kinds of methods we use.

"Power plate" is a cool name, but for a machine costing about 10,000 SGD
per piece it better do more than sound cool. We could set up a decent
small gym or home gym for the price of that machine alone!

What is a powerplate? It is a surface about 1m by 1m in size that
vibrates. That is it.

What does it claim to do? It claims to improve your blood circulation,
flexibility, and increase bone and muscle strength.

Possible... yes!

But I believe only for a VERY untrained or elderly patient and only for a
limited time till be the body gets used to it.

The claim about boosting flexibility does hold some interest for me. The
reason for this is that fast vibrations are known to "turn off" what are
known as spindle cells in your muscles. These Spindle cells are in all of
our muscles and they report to our body changes in the lengths of our
muscles.

So if we turn them off using vibrations from a power plate, you don't
"tighten up" when you try to stretch, so you can improve flexibility. The
usual "stretch reflex" is turned off. (you know, the one where you spasm
if you stretch too far beyond your current flexibility)

However... if you do this too much, you might "turn off" the spindle cells
too much and then your body will lose coordination because it has no clue
how long the muscles are and how fast their length is changing.

In addition this stretch reflex has a role in producing speed and power,
and this may decrease as well.

Finally, the stretch reflex is an injury prevention mechanism in your
muscles so if you turn it off long term its bad news for preventing muscle
tears/pulls.

Also, any good flexibility program can get you to improve flexibility and
range of motion without these side effects.

In conclusion, I don't have an issue so much with the power plate or
vibration platform. I am just concerned that it is not good value and that
its claims are overblown. For the price, get yourself a good set of weight
plates, bar, power rack and dumbells!

Chicken Manchurian- A Famous Chinese Cuisine

Chicken Manchurian is a famous Chinese cuisine. It can be prepared in a
number of ways. It can be cooked either with beef or meat or chicken. The
most preferred chicken Manchurian is the one that is prepared with
pineapple. Pineapple is preferred because it makes the Manchurian much
more appealing and the taste of the Manchurian increases many fold. It
even acts as a sweetening agent thus making the Manchurian a little sweet

does not take very long time to be cooked. It just takes around half an

Ingredients required preparing chicken Manchurian

Fried Chicken requirements:

a) Boneless chicken- 500 grams. The chicken must be cut into very small
cubes.

b) Flour (which is used for all basic purpose) – half a cup

c) corn flour-two tablespoons

D) egg-one

E) A pinch of table salt

f) oil- for the purpose of deep frying

Requirements for the Manchurian Sauce:

A) Chopped pineapple- half a cup.
b) Garlic cloves. The garlic cloves should be finely chopped.
c)tomato paste-half a cup
d)tomato ketchup- half cup
e)chili garlic paste- one fourth cup
f)red pepper(crushed)- three or four
g)red pepper –powdered- half tablespoon
h)Salt-according to taste
i)water-half a cup
j)oil- one fourth cup
k)Cornstarch as per the requirement

How to cook chicken Manchurian

Firstly marinating of the chicken is important. Prepare the marinating
mixture. Mix all purpose flour, salt, corn flour and eggs in a mixing
bowl. If the batter appears a little thick then one may add a little cold
water to it. Cold water provides consistency to the batter and makes it
good enough for marinating. Coat all the pieces of chicken with the batter
and keep them for sometime.

Next step involves heating the oil in a deep sauce pan. After the oil is
properly heated put into it the pieces of marinated chicken slowly one by
one. The flame of the gas must be kept really slow so as to prevent the
pieces from roasting. A high flame may cook the marinated chicken only
from outside and the inner part may remain uncooked. Thus always keep the
flame slow. The chicken must be cooked till it turns light brown in color.
This is an indication that the chicken is properly cooked.

Now we will prepare sauce for the Manchurian. For preparing the sauce one
must heat a little oil in a deep sauce pan and then add garlic to it.
After adding garlic to the oil fry it for around a minute till the aroma
of garlic is felt all in the kitchen. Apart from providing taste it also
provides aroma thus making the dish really tempting.

Next step includes adding the pineapple pieces to the pan followed by the
chili garlic sauce, the tomato ketchup and the tomato paste. All should be
mixed properly in the pan to make it a homogeneous mixture. This should be
cooked properly on the medium flame for around two or three minutes. Thus
when one sees a little boil in the mixture then it is considered to be
cooked properly.

Next add the pieces of fried chicken to the mixture. After that add the
powdered red chili & the crushed chili. Then add salt according to taste
and water according to the requirement.

Next stir the mixture properly with light hands to make sure that
everything is properly cooked.

Add a little corn starch and cook the mixture for a few minutes.

on my server, and it's not uncommon for me to get comments from healers
that I'm the first Bear they've healed in months. Less surprising is the
representation advantage held by Druid healers. Trees are insanely good in
Ulduar, and between this, the rise of the Death Knight, and the
de-suckaging of the Protection Warrior spec, that probably accounts for
the gradual disappearance of the Bear. Also thought-provoking is just how
few Druids hold a share of the DPS pie.

I'd love to hear from members of other classes on the data and how
closely it dovetails into their own experience. There's a quick note for
Warrior players (or anyone interested in the DPS graph) past the cut, as
there's a small mistake on the relevant graph.

at 350 degrees. When the oil is hot and has reached the desired
temperature, place a handful of slices into the frying basket and drop
down into the oil. Deep fry your slices until they are crisp and lightly
browned. This process usually takes 2-4 minutes. Remove basket from hot
oil and let it drain over the deep fryer for 2-3 minutes. Line a large
plate or platter with 3 thick paper towels. Pour the chips onto the plate
and use a separate paper towel to blot off any excess oil. Season with
salt if desired.

Optional: If you like your potato chips seasoned with Old Bay, place some
Old Bay Spice in an old salt shaker. Shake the desired amount on the
chips. Wait 1 minute, flip the chips over and season the other side.

1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup green olives
1 small can tomato paste
4 hot dog rolls

Place cheese, Spam meat, onions and olives in a blender and blend until
ingredients are chopped up and well blended together. Pour in the tomato
paste and blend for 30 additional seconds. Spoon mixture into the hot dog
rolls and then wrap each roll in aluminum foil. Place foil packs on a
baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes, let cool

Dalai Lama possesses enormous insight into human suffering.

The Lotus Scripture, also called the Saddarmapundarika Sutra, and The Pure

In world of warcraft there are mainly two ways to level up your character
- Doing Quests or Grinding

If you mainly doing quests, you'll find the game more enjoyable and you'll
get to explore more areas and zones You could also choose to focus on
grinding, even though you might gain more XP this way, you'll probably get
bored quite soon.

Let's take closer look at some of the advantages and disadvantages of
grinding vs questing

Grinding Pros

In World of Warcraft, grinding simply means to kill monsters and enemies
over and over By grinding you'll gain experience and recieve gold and
loot. If you character has a profession like skinning or enchanting, you
can use the loot to level up your trade skills.

If you choose your locations well, you can often pick up plenty of gold
and silver, as well as plenty of vendor trash that adds up to a healthy
amount of gold at the same time as earning plenty of XP fairly quickly.

Grinding Cons

Spending a lot of time killing the same monsters over and over quickly
becomes boring. Please remember, it's not characters who are good at
grinding, some classes simply get killed to easily, so if you're planning

Questing Pros

Questing in World of Warcraft gives you plenty of things to do that help
to keep the game interesting. You get to explore new areas and zones and
search for various quest items or monsters to kill. On top of this, you're
often rewarded well with plenty of XP for completing quests, along with
various reward items that can sometimes be worth the effort.

Questing Cons

Far too many players waste huge amounts of time running from one end of a
zone to the other searching for quest items. Very often, players do one
quest at the time, and don't begin on the next one before they've handed
the first one in, thereby they waste even more time. If you do intend to
use questing as your levelling tactic, then try to find a way to organize
your journey so you won't be wasting levelling time, just as you would in

Melt together sugar, butter and preserves of apricot, strawberry or
raspberry. Then combine chocolate, cheese, vanilla, whipped cream, lemon
peel, salt, citron and raisins. When you have mixed it well fill each one
of the crepes with approximately one tablespoon of the mixture. Place them
on a baking pan that is lightly buttered. Put in oven to keep warm.
Sprinkle with sugar when done and brush lightly with melted butter. Serve
immediately.

This dessert can accompany you to any party or dinner; it suits any
occasion, including a home party.

Another popular Italian dessert recipes is the Italian Biscotti's. All you
need to make this is:

* 2 x packets of ready made pudding of your choice
* 1 x packet of soft biscotti
* 1 x small container of Cool Whip

Cut the biscottis lengthways and put them in a big enough dish. Pour a
layer of pudding onto that. Exchange layers of both biscottis and pudding
until there is no more. Spread the Cool Whip over the top and refrigerate
before serving.

on low speed
